Terms of Service
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and IncubXperts TechnoConsulting Private Limited (“IncubXperts”, “we”, “us”), which builds and runs CertHalo at certhalo.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use CertHalo for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
The service
CertHalo checks the SSL/TLS certificates of websites and other servers and emails you before they expire or when they change. The free SSL checker works without an account. Monitoring needs an account, which is free for up to 3 certificates. Larger plans may be offered through perk codes or, later, paid subscriptions; their limits are shown in the app when you get them.
We may add, change or remove features and plan limits over time. If a change reduces what your plan includes, we'll tell you in advance.
Your account
- Use an email address you control. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in to your account, so keep it secure.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account and for the domains you add to it.
- Perk codes are for the people or organisations they were given to and can't be sold or transferred.
Acceptable use
Don't use CertHalo to:
- overload, attack or probe systems, ours or anyone else's, or try to reach private networks through our checks;
- get around rate limits or plan limits, for example with automated scripts or many accounts;
- scrape or resell the service or its results at scale without our written permission;
- break the law or the rights of others.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and block traffic that harms the service.
Alerts are a safety net, not a guarantee
We work to check certificates on schedule and deliver every alert, but checks can fail, emails can be delayed, filtered as spam or bounce, and the service can be unavailable. CertHalo doesn't replace your own certificate renewal process. You remain responsible for renewing and installing your certificates.
Your data
You keep ownership of the information you give us. You let us use it only to run and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Certificate details are public by nature; we show them to you as found.
Our service and brand
CertHalo, its software, design and content belong to IncubXperts. These terms don't give you any right to them beyond using the service.
Ending your use
You can stop using CertHalo at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@certhalo.com. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or stop offering the service with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and that check results or grades are complete or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, IncubXperts isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, including losses from an expired or misconfigured certificate. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them or the service, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use CertHalo after that means you accept the new terms.
